Greetings!

it looks like the weather has just caught up with the calendar - at least here on the West Coast of Canada. What a glorious extended summer it's been, although our trees and wildlife may not agree!

Now that the rain is back we can settle into our usual fall routine, resting and recharging - and start dreaming of ways to escape the wet and cold winter.
If you scroll down, you'll find my latest travel ideas.
My carry-on bag and I went exploring
Last month I travelled to Jordan - honoured to be one of 60 travel specialists selected by the Jordan National Tourism Bureau to participate in their first tourism masterclass.

I arrived in Jordan, filled with curiosity about this ancient land that has borne witness to so many civilizations, and where remnants of antiquity live cheek by jowl with modern life.

During our whirlwind tour we not only visited the main highlights - Amman Citadel, Jordan Museum, Jerash, As-Salt, Mount Nebo & Madaba, Petra- by day and night! Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and the Red Sea, we also enjoyed meeting and learning about grassroots initiatives and organizations, who are passionate about restoring ancient traditions and reviving Jordan’s cultural heritage.

The friendly locals, stark beauty and fascinating history of Jordan left a lasting impression. It awoke in me an intense curiosity about humanity, and a deep understanding and gratitude for how the past has made the present moment possible.

After 12 days I came away from Jordan having fulfilled a dream I never knew I had!
If you want to learn more, pour yourself a Mint Limonada (recipe), and enjoy the 4 minute compilation of my photos below.

I have also written a blog post about my wonderful Journey through Jordan.
Our latest travel inspirations
If you are yearning to get away, let me delight you with some very special trip ideas that could have you back home in time for the holidays:-
Cruise around the Enchanted Isles of Galapagos on a luxury 16 passenger yacht and save US$1,000 while snorkelling with turtles and sea lions.

Or head further south – actually, as far SOUTH as you can go – on an Expedition to Antarctica and save 50%.
I have never seen such an offer before, so if the southern polar region is on your list, this winter would be the best time to go. (Book by Oct 31st)

If you prefer to stay on terra firma, how about soaking up the magic of Christmas at some of Germany’s legendary "Christkindl” markets, while enjoying traditional treats like Stollen and Glühwein.

We still have a few spots left on our Polar Bear Photo Safaris to Hudson’s Bay, Manitoba. The season ends in mid-November, so you’d have decide soon.

And if you are looking for sunshine + adventure, I would highly recommend an authentic Wilderness Safari in Zambia.
Save 33% while watching wildlife quench their thirst at the Zambezi River and enjoying a 4X4 safari in the Luangwa Valley's pristine eco-system.
Testimonial:
Christine is an outstanding travel partner with her knowledge of the countries and personal experience. She uses on-the-ground partners who have exceptional guides and lodges.
Christine arranged some very specific special requests which were fulfilled without exception. We also ran into some airline issues (who has not lately?), which Christine was able to straighten out.
We most highly recommend Christine as a partner in any travel arrangements. B&D
Travelling light
This was the 2nd time I travelled with just hand baggage, and again I appreciated being able to travel free from a heavy suitcase.
I simply walked off the plane to meet my driver, and in hotels I never had to wait for my luggage to be delivered.
If you want some tips on how to travel light, give me a call. I'd be happy to share my experiences.
Next time I will tell you about my time in Istanbul, which was another wonderful adventure. Until then I wish you only the best and a happy Halloween.
Yours in Travel,
