FALL TAX DEADLINES

The filing deadline for extended 2021 tax returns is rapidly approaching! We should have all your tax information by now, and we are working hard on completing these returns:
  • Forms 1041 for trusts (filing deadline is September 30)
  • Forms 1040 for individuals and Forms 1120 for December year-end C-corporations (filing deadline is October 17)

To file Forms 990 and 990PF for non-profits, we need all your information to us by October 3 for the November 15 filing deadline.

As soon as we have completed your returns, you will receive an email requesting authorization signatures. Please read carefully and review your tax return. If you agree to file as is, provide your signature(s) in all places requested. Once we have received all the required signatures, we will e-file the returns.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have any questions, concerns or changes regarding your completed tax returns, contact your Tax Manager before signing!
 
NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH
September is National Preparedness Month and a good time to update your emergency preparedness plan. With ongoing threats of wildfires and other disasters, it is important to:
  • Review your insurance policies for appropriate coverage
  • Keep essential documents available and secure
  • Make lists of property and take photos
  • Develop a family emergency communication plan
  • Create an emergency supply kit
  • Sign up for emergency alert notifications
IRA & TAX PLANNING
The new INFLATION REDUCTION ACT of 2022 includes several tax changes and new tax credits that may affect you or your small business. Please reach out to your Tax Manager after the October 17th deadline for more information and to schedule tax planning services before year-end.
