We’re #1 again! U.S. News & World Report released its 2023 Best Jobs rankings earlier this month – and NP is the #1 best health care job for the second consecutive year! We’re also the #2 best job (after software developer) on the overall list.
(L to R) VCNP Lobbyist, Richard Grossman, VCNP President Elect, Alysia Pack, and VCNP President, Olivia Newby, pose after speaking with legislators during the 2023 General Assembly.
We all know that NPs play a vital role in caring for Virginia’s citizens. With support from the Governor’s Office and Delegate Roxann Robinson, patron of HB 2183, we’re continuing to work through the legislative process to change scope of practice laws in the Commonwealth.

The General Assembly moves and changes quickly so please watch your email for requests for support. Thank you for your quick responses to date and for your commitment to our profession.

Lynchburg Region member and VCNP state PR chair Morgan McDowell traveled with the University of Lynchburg College of Medical Science Students Without Borders group to Oaxaca, Mexico earlier this month for a medical mission trip.

The group cared for over 200 patients and delivered donated medical supplies, clothes and personal care items.
