"Outdoor Play Oasis" - A Covid Response Story
The pandemic conditions and virtual world made it difficult for us to live our mission of providing resources and environments for hands-on learning through play. As a solution, we envisioned an outdoor play space! Thanks to a MassDevelopment "Resurgent Places" grant that recognized the importance of creating spaces and places for people to come back into community and business cultural districts, we've created an "Outdoor Play Oasis" in the center of down-town Hyannis in collaboration with Hyannis Public Library.
The backyard of the Hyannis Public Library, at 401 Main Street Hyannis, next door to the JFK museum, serves as a perfect location for the "Play Oasis" natural playscape.
