SANCTUARY SEATING RESERVATIONS
We have now opened the Sanctuary to the congregation for upcoming services moving forward! To accommodate everyone's various comfort levels with social distancing, seating in the Sanctuary is currently limited to 60 people, so we encourage congregants to reserve their seating soon! Please use this link to reserve a seat for upcoming services: https://rsvp.church/r/iDQBXJDb.
There will be additional seating available in Fellowship Hall for those congregants without a reservation in the Sanctuary, or for those who would appreciate the flexibility and an added sense of social distancing. We will have a projector screen in place to provide a full visual and sound experience of our live streamed service, so together you can enjoy worship with other UUCUC members who also make this choice.

SUBMITTING JOYS AND SORROWS

Join us at 11:30 (or immediately following the service) for an in-person fellowship with coffee and treats on the South Lawn. In case of cold temperatures (under 40 degrees) or inclement weather the Fellowship Hour will be moved indoors to Fellowship Hall with wonderful conversation as always but no coffee or snacks so we remain able to honor our “masks in place” guidelines for the comfort and safety of everyone present.

In partnership with CUUUltivate (formerly Green UUs), join us on Friday March 25 at 7pm via Zoom for a viewing and discussion of the movie “Kiss the Ground.” Right now, we’re facing many challenges, and soil might be the last thing on your mind. But, when the future of our planet and humankind is at stake, nothing may be more important than regenerating the ground beneath us. We’re in need of the kind of hope we’ve never felt before. “Kiss the Ground” unveils a game-changer to our climate crisis: the Earth’s own soil.

From Samuel Beshers: Joy that Ray Watson, a young transgender man, who found us was part of our choir. Deep sorrow for his early death.
From Christine Cahill: So happy to be in the sanctuary for a service for the first time in 2 years!!!
From Pat Feely: My daughter's partner Maria José is from the Dominican Republic. She just received a job offer to be the Diversity Director for a high school in Colorado. This opens up so many amazing personal and professional opportunities for them. Love in action!
From Wendy Graves: Joy for our son Lukas and wife Abby who were married in a beautiful ceremony last Saturday in Indianapolis
From Jim Hannum: I have felt loved and supported by many of you during my recuperation from surgery. Thank you!
From Debra Karplus: A sorrow that my dad passed early this morn after an incredible 93 year run but a joy to have had such an incredible man for a father.
From Jessica Sempek: Much joy today for a beautiful day for members who joined the congregation during remote services to journey around the church in-person! Very grateful for an opportunity to connect this afternoon.
From William Shannon: This is my first time in the Sanctuary since the end of 2019.

SOCIAL ACTION OFFERING FOR MARCH 2022

WIN Recovery is a local nonprofit founded to support women and those who identify as women as they return to our community after experiencing incarceration. The number of women incarcerated in IL and nationwide has exploded in the past few decades, growing by 700%. Many of the women are sent to prison as part of sweeps of their drug-dealing boyfriends or husbands, even if they had no knowledge of the activity. Tragically, they often get longer sentences than the drug-dealing boyfriend as they do not have information to trade for a reduced sentence. Understandably, incarceration severely interrupts family lives for those who have children. Read more...
