1099s, Do you need to file them?
Do you need to file 1099s this year? Businesses are required to issue a 1099 if they have paid over $600 to an individual or business throughout the year (there are some exceptions).

You should be supplying contractors with W-9s throughout the year to prepare for this reporting.

If you are unsure if you need 1099s, or if you need them and have not told us, please reach out as soon as possible.

Watch for out Blog with more information on 1099 reporting coming later this month.
S Corporation Owners Health Insurance....
It is that time of year that S Corp owners need to remind their payroll services that their health insurance needs to be added to their gross wages. You will need to report the total amount of health insurance paid for the shareholder throughout the year. Reach out to your payroll service as soon as possible to report your total, this will help your payroll service prepare your W-2 accurately.

For more information please don't hesitate to reach out.
