DISTRICT MISSION: The mission of the Cedarburg School District is to provide an exemplary education that challenges students in a nurturing environment to develop into lifelong learners, to become responsible adults, and to achieve their goals and dreams.
From the Superintendent
HAPPY FALL! It is hard to believe that we are already two months into the school year. The school year has brought us many exciting opportunities to meet new friends and engage with old acquaintances. I have been thoroughly impressed with our students' excitement toward the new school year. I witnessed the community participation in and around Cedarburg High School's Homecoming Week and at the community parade this year; it was truly magnificent.

As a district, we continue to focus on meeting each student's learning needs. The Cedarburg staff has spent time this fall refining their Professional Learning Community (PLC) practices so they can better address the needs of each student in their classrooms. Each and every staff member's focus on student learning is exemplified in the recent release of the spring 2022 statewide assessment results noted below. This high academic achievement is a testament to the high expectations and continuous hard work of the teaching staff, students, and families.

I am truly honored to be a part of the Cedarburg School District, and I look forward to working with each of you as we help our students grow in their quest to achieve their goals and dreams.

National Principals Month
Each October, National Principals Month recognizes the essential role that principals play in making a school great. This an excellent opportunity to celebrate, appreciate and thank each of our principals for their hard work leading our school community. They create an environment where young learners can grow and succeed in and out of the classroom every day.

Angela Little, Brittany Kleeba, Katie Ramos, Scott May, Tony DeRosa, Dan Reinert, Casey Bowe, Calie McNerney, and Trent Berg - thank you for your leadership and dedication to #WeAreCSD!

Webster continues a great tradition of providing team-building opportunities for our eighth graders at Camp Minikani. Curricular classes, outdoor activities, night hikes, smores, and more. We loved seeing the teamwork and enthusiasm. Relive the experience through this short video here!
Technology Tips & Reminders
October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

This month, the CSD Technology Department is sharing tips with staff and families as reminders on how to keep information safe and secure when online.

Recognize & report phishing emails: Being able to spot and report phishing emails keeps your personal information safe. Below are some quick tips on how to spot a phishing email:
  • Contains an offer that’s too good to be true
  • Language that’s urgent, alarming, or threatening
  • Poorly-crafted writing with misspellings and bad grammar
  • Greetings that are ambiguous or very generic
  • Requests to send personal information or clicking on unfamiliar hyperlinks or attachment
  • Sending e-mail address doesn’t match the company it’s coming from

Always enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) when available: MFA is a security measure that requires anyone logging into an account to navigate a two-step process to prove their identity. By adding one more simple step when logging into an account, MFA greatly increases the security of your account.
Community Connections
Bulldog Spirit 🧡

In the fall of 2021, the City of Cedarburg Forestry Department removed an enormous dead ash tree from the front of CHS. What was intentionally left was a 6' stump for a bulldog sculpture. Collaboration between many departments and a local wood sculptor, Nerissa Eichinger, Neenah Creek Sculpture, has made this dream a reality. The sculpture was installed in late September and unveiled during Homecoming Week. Just before the Friday Pep Rally, CHS StuCo cut the ribbon on the sculpture! Stop by and check it! GO Bulldogs!
CSD Combined Choirs

Over 130 singers representing all CSD schools, Thorson Jaguar Chorus, Westlawn Dolphin Chorus, Parkview Bullpups Chorus, Webster Wolverine Chorus, and CHS Treble, Concert, Acappella & Bella Voce Choirs this past Friday night, sang The National Anthem at our last high school home football game. It was a wonderful way for the entire music department across all schools to collaborate and work together! Thank you to CSD parent Bob Schatzman for sharing his video.
