NEW: COLLEGEBOARD & KHAN ACADEMY PRESENT "IS COLLEGE RIGHT FOR ME?" A LIVE PANEL DISCUSSION
The skills you develop in high school and college can help you prepare for many different types of careers, from fashion design to software engineering, and from cybersecurity to becoming an entrepreneur.

In this event you’ll hear from a panel of recent high school grads who will discuss 5 high-paying career paths, how they decided what to do after high school, and what advice they’d give their younger selves. The panelists will also share tips on how to afford college and what to do if you feel academically unprepared for college. Sal Khan from Khan Academy will moderate the discussion. Click here to register if you're interested in learning more!
REMINDER: OAKLAND UNIVERSITY VIRTUAL CAMPUS VISIT
For those of you who were unable to join us for the in-person campus visit to Oakland University, click here to register for the required virtual campus visit as a make-up. The session is scheduled to take place next week on Thursday, 12/9 at 3:30 PM. (If you attended in-person but would still like to join us virtually, please feel welcome to register!)

During the session, you will have a chance to hear from OU Admissions to learn more about the admission process and have a chance to ask questions.
ICYMI: MI STUDENT AID SCHOLARSHIP SEARCH SELF-SERVICE TOOL
MI Student Aid houses a database of Michigan place-based scholarships. A Michigan place-based scholarship means that one of the scholarship components is linked to a Michigan school, county, city or region.

Start your search here. Select which Michigan county you live in to view the available scholarships for that location. You can click on each individual scholarship to learn more about requirements, deadlines, etc.
Use the 'Generate PDF' button to export a list of your results that you can save to your device.
RESOURCE SPOTLIGHT: SCHOLARSHIPS.COM
Junior year is not too soon to start your scholarship search for post-secondary! Be sure to add scholarships.com to your list of reputable scholarship search resources.

I'd also suggest reading this note from scholarships.com about how to spot and avoid scholarship scams!
