COVID UPDATES
Academic Contingency Plan
This document aims to clarify the contingency plan for the two following cases:
● Your individual child needs to quarantine because of COVID
● Your child’s class needs to quarantine because of COVID

Routine COVID Testing
Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) will provide biweekly testing to staff at all campuses. Last year, this program was extended only to the lower school campus.

LCMC Children’s Hospital has resumed their drive-thru molecular testing for staff, students, and families. Please call their hotline 504-837-7760 to speak with a nurse and make an appointment.


Louisiana Department of Health Partnership with Omega Diagnostics
We are happy to announce that Lycee has partnered with Omega Diagnostics to provide FREE weekly COVID testing for staff and students. For more information, please select the link to the flyer.

Virtual Back to School Night - Postponed
Back to school night has been postponed to Thursday, September 2.
Boosterthon
Each class will have time scheduled for a fun walk or run on Sep 2, 2021. Each student will be provided with a prize for participating in this fun activity. There will be two socially distanced tracks on the outside large playground blacktop for students to participate in this event. The goal is to raise $20,000 for our physical education supplies for our students.

Extended Day Programs
Before & Aftercare: REMINDER
No before or aftercare at Patton only tomorrow, Tuesday, August, 24.
Tutoring Program Announcement
We are pleased to announce that we have renewed our partnership with Tulane Department of French and Center for Public Service. Thanks to this partnership, we will be able to offer a tutoring program for qualifying students in grades 1-5. Tulane service learners will be leading the tutoring sessions, supervised by a Lycée staff member.
Tutoring will take place from 4:20-5:20 pm at Patton for students in grades 1 and 2 and at Johnson for students in grades 3, 4, and 5. 
Tutoring groups will be limited to 8 students
.
Students are selected according to the following criteria:
  • Tier 1:Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
  • Tier2: Students who participated in summer school + have a teacher’s recommendation based on academic performance.

Once students have been selected, parents will be contacted directly to gauge interest and availability.

Little League of New Orleans - Tee Ball Season
Little League of New Orleans (LLONO) is a offering low-cost tee ball season to children ages 4-7 this Fall. LLONO is the local affiliate of Little League® International. We are a volunteer-run 501c(3) non-profit, and coaches must complete a background check before stepping onto the field. Scholarships are also available courtesy of T-Mobile and Little League International.
