Exciting New Opportunities at CSPH: Disaster Worker Grant, Internships, and Apprenticeships

CareerSource Pasco Hernando (CSPH) is thrilled to introduce three dynamic initiatives designed to empower our community, strengthen the workforce, and drive recovery and growth. Whether you're looking to rebuild after the recent storms, gain hands-on experience, or start a career in a high-demand field, CSPH has something for everyone.

Disaster Worker Grant: Be a Part of the Recovery Effort

In the wake of Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene, CSPH is stepping up with the Disaster Worker Grant. This program connects storm-impacted individuals with temporary jobs to assist in critical recovery efforts such as clearing debris, repairing infrastructure, and supporting local families.

This initiative is more than just a job—it’s a chance to contribute to our community’s recovery while gaining valuable work experience. Whether you're seeking employment or looking to make a difference, this program offers a meaningful way to get involved.

Internship Program: Launch Your Career

Looking to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience? Our new Internship Program is here to help. This short-term training opportunity pairs job seekers with local businesses for hands-on learning experiences in various industries, lasting 6 to 12 weeks.

Here’s the best part: CSPH provides up to 100% wage reimbursement to participating employers, removing financial barriers and encouraging businesses to mentor new talent. For interns, it’s a win-win—practical job experience that sets you up for success in the workplace.

Apartment Maintenance Apprenticeship Program: Build Skills for the Future

In partnership with Pasco-Hernando State College, CSPH is launching the Apartment Maintenance Apprenticeship Program—a pathway to a stable, in-demand career. Participants will receive essential training, including OSHA Ten Safety Certifications, and will be equipped with CSPH-branded safety gear to foster professionalism.

Training takes place at the state-of-the-art Gowers Corner facility, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official launch. With an expected cohort of 25-30 apprentices, this program is your chance to gain certifications and expertise in a rapidly growing industry.

Why Choose CSPH?

CSPH is committed to creating opportunities that matter. Whether it’s rebuilding our community, connecting job seekers with impactful experiences, or providing pathways to sustainable careers, we’re here to help individuals and businesses thrive.
