Pacific Try Masters Swimming - Tell your Friends!
July 1 - August 31
Get a Banner for your Club!!

July is USMS Try Masters Swimming Month, offering two free swims at participating clubs.

Pacific Masters is holding its own Try Masters Event for two months! The majority of new members say that word-of-mouth, and seeing information about adult swimming at their pool was the main way they discovered Masters Swimming.

Our Marketing and Membership Committee has designed a beautiful banner (pictured above) that can be proudly displayed at your aquatic facility. There is no better way to announce that "adult swimming happens here" than by hanging one of these eye-catching banners at your pool, available at no cost to all of our clubs. Inquire about receiving your club's banner with an email to Michael Moore.

As an added incentive, Pacific Masters clubs with 29 members or more with the highest participation will be eligible to win some big cash. Help get the word out with these Try Masters Swimming opportunities.
Want to Transfer Clubs?
Specific Rules to Follow

Sometimes our members need to switch their club affiliation mid-year. Not surprisingly, USMS has a process for club transfers.

1.  IMPORTANT: YOU CANNOT USE YOUR MEET ENTRY AS AN OFFICIAL CLUB TRANSFER.
If you want to transfer clubs for a meet, you must go through official channels to transfer before the meet. Selecting a new club on your meet entry form is not enough and causes major clerical problems if your meet entry club does not match your affiliated USMS club.

2. If you wish to transfer, please email the Pacific Master Administrator with your name, membership number and club to which you wish to transfer, we will submit your request to USMS.

3. Please note that USMS currently requires a 60-day period after a member competes for a club before they may transfer to a new club. If a swimmer wants to compete in an event during that 60-day wait time, they may transfer to “unattached” and then complete the transfer when the 60 days are up. The exception to this rule is the annual membership renewal – a member may select a new club at that time without regard to the 60 days
