Dynavac Contributes Custom Vacuum Chamber to CSU Supersonic Wind Tunnel
Dynavac, a leading provider of custom high-vacuum systems and equipment, is pleased to participate in Colorado State University’s supersonic research. Dynavac donated a ~ 1.5 meter vacuum chamber which serves as a main component of the supersonic wind-tunnel under development at CSU. The facility will be used for researching supersonic propulsion, including ignition inside a supersonic stream, flame holding, and flame stabilization.

Toray Plastics (America) Employees Volunteered with the South County Habitat for Humanity
Twenty employees from Toray Plastics (America), Inc. gathered to help build a South County Habitat for Humanity home for a South Kingstown, Rhode Island family. The Toray team and the new homeowner, who also worked on the construction of the home, raised and secured roof rafters and interior walls, applied house wrap, taped seams, installed blocking for kitchen cabinets, raised and secured roof trusses for a shed and installed exterior sheathing on that building. Everyone also ate a lot of pizza! The family hopes to move into its new home sometime in October.

Department of Energy Announces $50 million in Funding for New Public-Private Partnerships
On Thursday, September 22, the U.S. Department of Energy announced $50 million in new funding for a milestone-based public-private partnership program intended to accelerate planning for fusion energy pilot plants.
