Our WCA EC class has been busy packing toiletry bags for the Turning Point Women's Shelter this year. So far, they have packed 35 bags and plan on packing at least 35 more after Christmas. Way to go girls!

Christmas Parade

THIS SUNDAY, December 12th

We are very excited about the opportunity for Weddington Christian Academy to be in the Waxhaw Christmas Parade next Sunday, December 12th. The parade theme is "Christmas Around the World.'' We know the WCA World Changers have so much to offer to our community. We would love for your student(s) and family to join us as we march in the parade and share the good news that the Savior is coming. We need to arrive on North Providence St at 1:30 pm to get set up and in place. We will have decorations and Hank the Hawk will be joining us. We request that all students wear their yellow "All in Him Shirts." CLICK HERE to sign up!

Winter STEAM Day & Family Event!

All is Calm...All is Bright. Our Winter STEAM Day will be a day of reflection and remembering the night Jesus was born. Could it be that we will even hear the soft flutter of angels’ wings? During school, students will enjoy Christmas themed class activities and a special art project.

*Please have your student wear any red, white, or green top and jeans.

A Winter Christmas Afternoon Event!

1pm - 2:45pm

Join the WCA students and staff, WCA PTF, and the Soule’ Coffee Truck for some warm cocoa and Christmas caroling!

WCA families, join us on the backfield for this family fun event! Enjoy a time of fellowship and order coffee from 1pm to 1:20pm. For arrival before 1:10pm, please enter off Providence Road to avoid the preschool carpool and park in the YC parking lot in front of WCA. If you arrive after 1:10pm, you may park in the lot behind the church. CLICK HERE to preview the Soule’ Coffee Truck menu and place your order on the day of our event.

Our program will include a brief homily by Weddington UMC's senior pastor, Rev. Dr. Terry Moore. The author of a book our students have been helping illustrate will also join us to tell you more about the special Christmas publication they have been working on this Advent season. Then our students will lead us in some beautiful Christmas carols led by WCA Music Teacher, Linda Frances and accompanied by WUMC Worship Director, Justin Lineberry.

The coffee truck will remain open for you during the Christmas caroling. The PTF will be providing hot cocoa and a treat for the WCA students. The event will conclude and dismissal will be from 2:45pm -3:00pm.

Celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

at Weddington UMC on Friday, December 24th!

WUMC invites you to join us for Christmas Eve worship in-person or online for our services at 3:00 (Sanctuary), 5:00 (outdoors), 6:00 (Monroe Campus), 7:30 (outdoors), 11:00 p.m. (Sanctuary), and online. Our outdoor services behind the Family Life Center will feature a live nativity! For detailed information, please visit the website or church app.
