Dear Community,

In addition to providing Sarasota with a weekly source of local produce, unique plants, handmade gifts and drool-worthy prepared foods, we are working diligently to support a variety of local efforts to help our community flourish. The result: a TON of activities planned for tomorrow's Market.

  1. In addition to our two LIVE MUSICIANS set up on State Street and First Street, we look forward to showcasing a preview of THE FOG: An Eco-Puppet Spectacular as they parade through the Market at 10 am and 11 am. This Puppet Parade will feature handmade puppets designed by students at Ringling, an educational approach to climate justice and performances by New College students accompanied by brass instruments: a uniquely perfect event for our families to enjoy.
  2. Join our Volunteer ecologist, Bea Stryker with special guests Sunshine Community Compost, as we embark on our monthly SCIENCE SATURDAY lesson. THIS WEEKS TOPIC: composting!
  3. Find ways to get your kiddos involved in the thriving local arts scene as we promote arts education at the Market tomorrow. Featuring complimentary non-profit booth spaces stacked with representatives from Urbanite Theatre, Asolo Rep and Sarasota Orchestra. And the Fabulous Arts Foundation (previously Harvey Milk Festival) is in our PRIDE BOOTH tomorrow to promote their annual festival celebrating LGBTQ+ community and allies through music, art, film, theatre and dance.

Celebrate 78 local small businesses, soak up some free education in the sun and support economic growth every week at the Sarasota Farmers Market. See you tomorrow, rain or shine, from 7 am until 1 pm!

Tim and Janice Norwood started Sea Salt Florida 6 years ago after leaving an engineering career. The gourmet Sea Salt products begin with a perfectly timed hand harvest from the waters of 7 different Florida islands each containing 80 minerals. They organically hand harvest the all natural sea salt and package it. Currently there are 38 flavors to pick from so be sure to visit their booth on State Street to explore!
Sharon Juraszek is a Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine. She started this journey to create a product to heal her own personal health issues 8 years ago. She uses an all organic traditional small batch fermenting recipe.

"Our blends use key ingredients that have healing qualities and healing energetics; high grade ginger, turmeric root, pink Himalayan salt and other spices that have different energetics to aid in healing the body on subtle levels." She has about 10 year-round products and 5 seasonal items.

Connect with Sharon on the corner of Lemon Ave and let the healing begin!
