We're only a few thousand dollars from shortening the drive by a day!

This is the final email call for contributions to shorted the drive! I really believe we can repeat the success of previous drives where you, our staunchest supporters, stepped up and shortened the drive.

Because we weren't able to secure a mailing house contract in time to send the usual direct mail piece for this campaign, we are behind the eight ball here and we're really relying on online contributions like yours to make our $60,000 goal.

You’ve opened the door to a joyful musical oasis, a landscape of peace and harmony, a refuge of comfort and calm -- welcoming everyone in at 91.5FM from York Pennsylvania to Alexandria Virginia, and beyond through the WBJC Stream.

Because our listeners now provide a larger portion of WBJC’s budget than ever, this public service relies on the power of support like yours for the key funding behind everything we do.

That’s why I’m writing to ask you to make a special gift to support WBJC’s fall on-air fundraiser. It’s scheduled to begin on October 12 and run until October 15, 2022. However, you can shorten the drive. For every $60,000 we raise before the drive begins, we will eliminate a day of fundraising. You have shortened the drive before; you can do it again!

There’s no match for the daily rewards of WBJC -- bringing you inspiration, comfort, and peace. And there’s no match for your support’s power to make it all possible!

With my gratitude and appreciation for your support,

Richard Miles,
WBJC General Manager

Greetings WBJC listeners and especially fans of 31 in 31!
Many people have asked of we will post 31 in 31 on line so they can listen to it. The answer is I will get to it shortly so no worries…In the meantime until I do here is a podcast all about Mozart’s amazing Clarinet Quintet that I did for the Candlelight Concert Society a few weeks back. It should take the edge off those people who are in 31 in 31 withdrawal. Also we will bring 31 in 31 back next Summer with new composers…I promise.  LISTEN HERE

Join Judith Krummeck for an interview series on WBJC devoted to the world of books — from different genres, to book awards, to local and national authors — everything to do with books.

Brendan Slocumb is a Baltimore-Washington area violinist and teacher. He has now turned his talents to writing, and his debut novel The Violin Conspiracy has been published by Penguin Random House. As a prelude to our extended discussion in the Wheeler Room at The Enoch Pratt Free Libary on Cathedral Street on Wednesday, October 26 at 7 pm, I invited him to be my guest on BookNotes.
