I hope this message finds you well. Today, I write to you with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency that I cannot ignore. As the director of Looking Glass Animal Rescue, I am reaching out not just as a plea for help, but as a call to action in a time of crisis.
We are facing unprecedented challenges. Our bills are mounting, our resources dwindling, and the number of animals in need continues to grow. Every day, we receive heartbreaking calls from families surrendering their pets or asking for help, and we are forced to turn many away due to limited resources. This is a reality that weighs heavily on my heart, and I am scared for the future of our rescue and the animals that depend on us.
Right now, we have six animals undergoing life-saving heartworm treatment and four being treated for significant injuries due to neglect, abuse, and cruelty, requiring significant medical treatment. Each day that passes is a day they are vulnerable and in need of care. Additionally, we have others preparing for spay and neuter, each costing hundreds of dollars for surgery; and even more animals waiting for their forever homes, relying on us for food, toys and essential preventative care. The costs are mounting, and I fear for the well-being of these innocent creatures.
This is where you come in. I am personally asking you to take action today. A contribution of just $25 can make a world of difference. Here are a few ways you can help:
