• Cyl Format (As Entered / Always Positive / Always Negative)
• When the ST is saved the cyl can be automatically transposed to positive, negative or saved as it was entered originally
• Prompt to enter Recommendations (when saving ST)
• If no recommendations were entered during the examination, a window will appear to remind the performer they must enter them.
• Open The Print Shortlist When Saving (ST/CL) Exam
• When enabled a window will appear with a list of documents that can be printed at the end of the examination. The documents that appear can be chosen in setup. Useful for printing prescriptions at the end of the examination (read more)
• Prompt to Confirm Plano (Saving ST)
• When the record is saved, if the final rx is set to Plano, a popup will appear to ask the performer to confirm that 'Plano' is the correct prescription - this is to avoid an incorrect final rx being saved.
• Copy Prism to Inter / Near
• In the refraction window, when an 'Add' is entered the prism value are copied to 'Near' / 'Inter' respectvely.

The messages that appear on the alert window depend on what options are ticked in setup

Frame Catalogues are coming to FLEX

The next version of FLEX will see the addition of an online frame catalogue system, searchable from within FLEX. You will be able to retrieve details about a frame by simply looking it up and then adding into your own stock database.

We are busy working with suppliers to get catalogues (including images where possible) and load them in.
