CPI strives to support churches all over the world with healthcare to reach people for Jesus Christ, helping to further the Great Commission. This month, we had the opportunity to work with a local church, Iglesia Misionera Nueva Jerusalén, in Santa Catarina Pinula, Guatemala to offer a medical clinic for their community.

CPI's November Team served as a tool for this local church, Iglesia Misionera Nueva Jerusalén, helping give them the opportunity to share the Gospel with 764 members of their community. The church members were excited and passionate about sharing their faith and praying for those in their community who came to our clinic. We praise God for the 73 people who made decisions for Christ!!

An older woman who came to our clinic started crying after receiving reading glasses. She asked, "How much do they cost? I don't have anything to give. I don't have any money".

We told her they are free! At that moment, she started crying even harder and kept thanking us over and over. This is a beautiful picture of the Gospel. We don't have anything to offer to God, yet he gives us the free gift of salvation from our sins.

Because our sin separates us from God, we are in need of a Savior. Jesus Christ came to earth, living a life without sin, so he could die on a cross to pay the price for our sin. Then, he rose from the grave so that whoever repents from their sin and believes in Him will have eternal life.

After giving this woman free reading glasses, we walked her over to the Clinic of the Soul. A church member shared with her this free gift, and when compared to the reading glasses we could provide, this free gift of salvation is infinitely better.

Pray that our new church partner will be blessed, and that the 73 people who made decisions for Christ would grow in their relationship with Him. Pray for these new believers as they share the Gospel in their community with their family and friends who didn't attend our clinic. Pray for the patients who haven't yet made a decision for Christ, that the Holy Spirit would work in their hearts and draw them to Him.

Please pray for our upcoming January mission to Guatemala from January 6 - 12. Pray for our upcoming surgical trip in February and the many possible patients for this surgical trip that we saw at our recent November clinic.
