CARING HANDS THANKS MESSIAH
Thanks to everyone who donated to our Thanksgiving Food Drive.
"THANK YOU for the incredible response for Thanksgiving. We served over 137 families on Wednesday. It was a wonderful opportunity to be generous to our people. We couldn't have done it without Messiah."
From Deenna Eley, Caring Hands Food Pantry Coordinator
CHRISTMAS PROJECT SUPPORTING
WATER FOR KIDS INTERNATIONAL
This Christmas we are supporting Water for Kids International to give the gift of clean water to children. W4KI provides hope to disadvantaged children affected by extreme poverty and preventable diseases. Many deadly, oftentimes preventable diseases result from drinking from unclean water sources. W4KI drills wells in Uganda, South Asia and the Philippines that provide safe, clean water sources. Each well is $10,000. Let's see how much good work we can do, Messiah! By donating, you are invited to make a special dedication in our Christmas Eve Bulletin. Make your donation on Sunday mornings, Mondays at our Drive Thru or online by choosing "Christmas Project" for your giving type.

REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR
We hope you are participating in our Reverse Advent Calendar! We have created daily acts of kindness in which you will give instead of receive. We encourage you to share your experiences! How did it make you or someone else feel? Please email us here. We'd love to share with our Messiah family! See our first special experience below from Day 1! Follow us on Instagram @messiahylpics for updates!

SPECIAL STORY FROM DAY 1 of our
REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR
12-year-old, Lucas Schroeder attends St. Paul's Lutheran School. The middle school was able to have the kids on stage in front of a live audience for the first time in two years! Before the show, when Lucas was eating dinner with his family, doing DAY 1 of our Reverse Advent Calendar (sharing what each person around the table is grateful for this holiday season), Lucas said he was grateful for " my school Advent Program and to be on stage with my classmates this year."
The play was called “The Christmas Shoe Tree”. Not your typical Advent show, but the message was so special! The family of characters in the play own a Christmas Tree Farm, but collect donations for shoes during Christmas because they know there are so many people in need. Lucas played the part of Billy, one of the siblings that runs the farm and helps spread the love of Christ through helping others. “The Christmas Shoe Tree” production has a partnership with Soles4Souls, a non-profit that distributes shoes in the U.S. and around the world the those in need. All in attendance were encouraged to donate shoes to the organization.
