Onward! Since reopening over 120 days ago it has been a wonderfully gratifying experience to reconnect with returning guests and to welcome newbies to the Frog Meadow Family!
It continues to be a treat for us to share the love that abounds at Vermont’s Gay Oasis as well as our gay/gay-friendly region following nearly 16 months of closure due to the pandemic.
As a reminder, for the safety and health of our guests and staff we are open only to guests who are able to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to arrival.

The Ladies of the Rainbow have served up lip-synching and laughter to area audiences since first performing at Dummerston’s Rainbow Cattle Co. in the late 1990s.
The event will feature adult entertainment, as well as a 50/50 raffle and cash bar, to raise funds for the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont.

Congrats to Matthew Brackman and Joe Benner of Columbus, Ohio who tied the knot at Frog Meadow on September 30th!
Matthew and Joe have been a couple for 14 years and spent the week prior to their marriage at Frog Meadow making wedding rings in their Columbus, Ohio kitchen!
According to them, the ring-making.. "was a lot of work, and we had to learn new concepts and how to use new tools. But it is a good analogy for our relationship...we let our journey together through life teach us how to make something beautiful!”

Matthew and Joe from Columbus, Ohio tied the knot on Thursday September 30th amidst the early fall foliage at Frog Meadow! The nuptials took place in Frog Meadow's apple orchard, resplendent with hundreds of fresh, ripe apples which served as a metaphor for the sweetness and fullness of their lives together. Congrats to Matthew and Joe!

Hats off to Frog Meadow guest Andy Howarth of New Canaan, Connecticut for his continuing glassblowing adventures at Fire Arts Vermont!
Andy stayed with us earlier this summer and returned twice again to participate in glass-blowing classes at Fire Arts Vermont, an inviting center for people to view, participate in learn about glass and ceramic arts. He's been bitten by the glass-blowing bug and just booked another visit for early December!
Fire Arts Vermont provides gallery talks, ongoing classes, workshops, and private tutoring in their glass and ceramic studios as well as a gallery to view glassblowing and the creation of ceramic art and is operated by two world-class artists Randi Solin and Natalie Blake.

Adventurous guest Andy from New Canaan, CT shared this image of himself during his recent glass-blowing class at nearby Fire Arts Vermont, a destination arts studio and gallery dedicated to the creation, instruction, and promotion of silica-based arts. Classes are available for individuals and small groups.

Just prior to COVID-19 we began a proactive collaboration with the leadership team of Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital (Vermont's smallest acute care hospital, located 9 miles north of Frog Meadow) to create an LGBTQ+ Equity Initiative that has been working over the last 24 months to improve LGBTQ+ awareness and access, as well as training for employees to provide equitable, knowledgeable, sensitive, and welcoming health care for all, free from discrimination.

According to the Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital website, "We believe that healthcare which is specifically affirming of gender and sexuality should be a part of primary care. As a rural health clinic, we are doing our best to provide services to everyone in our community because we understand that accessing appropriate care can be especially difficult in rural areas. When necessary, confidential referrals to appropriate specialty services are also always available."

The Frog Meadow Suite
Come and stay in the best room in the house! The Frog Meadow Suite is a deluxe junior suite with a huge private bath complete with a two-man whirlpool jacuzzi tub and separate walk-in shower with custom made accent tiles.
There is also a sitting area with a comfy club chair and ottoman, a writing table and chair. A mini-fridge and quiet central air conditioning round out the deluxe amenities that make the Frog Meadow Suite the “best room in the house”.

The South Room
The Main House South Room has a king bed and beautiful views of the Vermont hills, the swimming pond and gardens. With southwestern exposure the South Room is bright and sunny and has wonderful cross breezes.
On the rare occasion that it does get warm and muggy at night there is quiet central air conditioning. A generously sized full bath tiled in beautiful blue handmade ceramics is shared with the North Room.

The North Room
The Main House North Room is the mirror image of the South Room, complete with king bed and a plush yet firm pillow top mattress.
The North Room has central air conditioning and beautiful views of the perennial gardens and surrounding meadows.
A generously sized full bath tiled in beautiful blue handmade ceramics is shared with the South Room.

The Brook Cottage
Nestled down by the brook that feeds the swimming pond, the Brook Cottage has perhaps the most magical setting at Frog Meadow!
Tucked under a canopy of pines and oaks and surrounded by ferns, the Brook Cottage is full of windows with a peaceful view out of every one!
You’ll be lulled to sleep by the sound of gently flowing water & crickets in the enchanted cedar Brook Cottage that is Frog Meadow’s version of “Hagrid’s Hut.”

The Honey Bee Cottage
Tucked into the lower meadow beyond the orchard and apiary, the Honey Bee Cottage feels like it is in a world of its own!
Nestled behind a double-Hawthorne tree and surrounded by meadow grasses, ferns and wildflowers, the Honey Bee Cottage is full of windows with a peaceful view out of every one!
You’ll be lulled to sleep by the gentle sounds of frogs and crickets in your own private little world at the Honey Bee Cottage.

Every time we have visited, we've been part of a diverse group of men and enjoyed many great conversations at the breakfast table while enjoying the homemade gourmet food served daily. The evenings are also enjoyable with friendly conversation around the hot tub or by the fire pit.
