Volunteer Opportunities

We have had a lot of exciting shows in the studio lately and have a few exciting volunteer opportunities coming up!

Studio Time

Has it been a while since you have been in the studio? We would love to have you come back in, check it out, and maybe even create a new show!

Are you more comfortable being outside still? That's not a problem either! Reserve one of our cameras and film something out of the studio! We are always looking for new and exciting programming!

Production Classes

Do you know someone who would like to volunteer for MCA-TV? We have updated the way we offer our production classes to allow for social distancing and more flexibility for people to come!

Classes are now available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays until 7 PM at the studio. This allows volunteers to pick their date and time and come in to learn one-on-one! Contact Allison today to find out more information or to sign-up at aeastham@moontwp.us.

Looking For New Shows!

Do you have an idea for a new show? MCA-TV is always looking for new content!

Producing a show is easy! All you need to do is:

1. Pitch your show idea to MCA-TV staff

2. Schedule a production date

3. Watch your show on MCA-TV

The rules are pretty simple, any Moon resident can produce a show, or non-residents can work with a community producer to sign off on their production and help gather volunteers!

What is a community producer, you ask?

A community producer is a Moon Township resident that has gone through our production course.

If you are not a community producer, we can help pair you up with one! We currently have about 15 active community producers ready to help you get your show on the road! The process is easy! Just contact Allison Ford at aeastham@moontwp.us with information about your idea and you are on your way!

Calling all filmmakers! The film fest is returning! We are accepting entries in the following categories:

· Best Feature Film

· Best Short Film

Early submissions are due by July 17 for a fee of $15. After July 17, the fee is $20. The deadline to submit a film is August 17. Last year, we gave away over $2,500 in prizes. The event airs live on MCA-TV on Saturday, September 17. Films will be judged by a panel of film experts from the Pittsburgh area. You do not have to be a Moon Township resident to participate.
