Cigar City Brewing installs first Westshore micro-mobility hub
Cigar City Brewing has been a leader in craft beer since their founding in 2009. They can now claim the title of transportation leader to go with their award-winning brews. Last week, Cigar City installed Westshore’s first micro-mobility hub, supported in part by the Westshore Alliance, Pedal Power Promoters, and a grant from the Florida Department of Transportation. The new bike rack, scooter rack, and fix-it station compliment the existing rideshare drop-off and HART bus stop that are all within steps of the brewery’s patio on Spruce Street.
The hub includes the first scooter rack in Westshore, just as electric scooters become more popular in Tampa. It’s another step by a company that has been committed to mobility options from supporting pedestrian safety improvements, hosting the Westshore 2021 Bike to Work Day group, and being named a silver-level Bicycle Friendly Business by the League of American Bicyclists.
The Cigar City Brewing hub is one of several recently installed bike racks and stations in Westshore, including MetWest and Avion Park. If your business or property is interested in adding bike facilities, contact us.
