Updates & Testimonies

Pastor Mabano and I went to Life Resources Foundation (LRF) to meet the graduates at their annual alumni homecoming and challenged them to become involved in the CCI ministry by the giving of their time, talents and resources. There were about 30 alumni in attendance together with their spouses. We have trained 122 workers in this institution since 2004. They are now making disciples in many places of the country. At least two of these men are planning to start training people in their local churches.

We held a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW) in Koronadal City with 12 participants representing ten churches in South Cotabato, Sarangani Province, and General Santos City. Special thanks to Pastor Repaso, Pastor Victorio and Pastor Art for their assistance.

Here are some testimonies from the Teacher Training Workshop:

  • "I've learned that as a pastor, we must teach and train other believers to become Christ-like leaders."

  • "I learned during the Teacher Training Workshop to teach sound doctrine to others, and also equip them to multiply Christ-like leaders."

  • "The important things that I learned during Teacher Training Workshop: it opened my mind on how to develop my teaching method and how to stand in front of my fellow brothers and sisters.

I interviewed the host pastor of Cloudy Baptist Church, Pastor Taleon Dudim (leftmost in the photo). Taleon was born of parents from the Manobo and T’boli tribes. He used to attend a Manobo church while still living a worldly life. Someone encouraged him to get some ministry training and after nine months of study, the Lord awakened his commitment and passion for the ministry. Pastor Dudim has planted four churches. He is now attending and hosting the CCI class that we visited at his church. Pastor Repaso, together with one of our graduates, Pastor Fred Bodegas, teaches the class of 14 men who are serving in different congregations. Please pray for the members of the church. They told me that a big corporation has invaded their ancestral land and affected their means of livelihood. Also, they would like to move their homes closer to the church building so that they would be able to attend church services regularly and on time.
