Dear Friends,
I'm back with another short-form newsletter, though it's hard to keep these short! Please continue reading below for announcements, information on upcoming events, and community news, and in my next newsletter I will be writing about our recent storms, their impacts on Sonoma County residents, and their effect on drought.
Housing Element Update - Comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) of the Draft Housing Element Update must be submitted by February 13, 2023. You can submit written comments to PermitSonoma-Housing@sonoma-county.org. Visit the link below to review the DEIR and for more information.
Bennett Valley Community Meeting - On January 24th, I attended a community meeting hosted by PG&E in Bennett Valley to address resident's concerns about frequent power shutoffs in the area and detail their efforts at reducing customer impacts. While I left before the lights went out unexpectedly (quite the coincidence!), I'm thankful to PG&E for coming out to listen to the community and hopefully reach a solution. Regardless of where you live, if you are interested in exploring PG&E resources for wildfire preparedness and safety, review the flyers below.
I want to express my gratitude to outgoing County Administrator Sheryl Bratton for her incredible leadership and dedication to our county, and congratulate incoming County Administrator Christina Rivera! Thank you for your service!
