Dear RSPA Humble Families:

We are writing to notify you that (1) individual who was last on RSPA's Humble Campus on Tuesday, January 25th, has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. You should also know that (1) additional individual was in close contact with a positive case & was last present on campus on Tuesday, January 25th. Your child was not in close contact unless you were individually notified.

Allow us to reassure you that RSPA follows guidance from the Texas Education Agency in the event of positive cases:

Areas heavily used by individuals infected with COVID-19 are sanitized. Individuals with positive COVID-19 test results will remain off campus until the following re-entry criteria have been met...

  • must self-isolate for 5 days.
  • must have no sign of fever without fever-reducing medication for at least 24 hours since recovery and symptoms have resolved after 5 days.
  • must continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.

RSPA appreciates everyone’s help in providing the best educational environment through these proactive measures:

  • Daily self-screening for symptoms prior to coming onto campus.
  • Emailing covidresponse@rhodesschool.org if you, your scholar, or someone you’ve been in close proximity to tests positive, or experiences symptoms of COVID-19. Please be sure to include your scholar’s name, grade, teacher, and documentation of the positive test result.
  • Practice physical distancing.
  • Practice excellent hand hygiene.
  • Strongly encourage the use of face-coverings.

Thank you to the families & individuals for reporting this matter and assisting us with accurate contact tracing reporting.

This notice is being sent to all Northshore parents and staff members.

Best Regards,
RSPA Communications Department
