Congratulations to our Albany Academy Robotics Team, Botman 4809, on winning several awards at their first tournament of the season, which hasn’t happened since 2013-2014! The tournament team also won the Think Award with their exemplary engineering notebook, third place for the Inspire Award given to model FIRST robotics teams, and third place for the Control Award because of their machine learning and gyro sensor Java code. All of this has secured the team’s advancement to the regional championship in March where the best in New York State will battle it out. Best of luck to the team for continued success!

May Project volunteers needed
We’re looking for volunteers to work with our seniors on their May Projects. This program gives seniors the opportunity to explore various professions through internships with Academy alumni and alumnae. Previous internships have included working in a recording studio, research lab, and gaming company. In early May, instead of going to their classes, students participate in an internship related to an area of study they intend to pursue in college. Students work with two advisors, one on campus and one at the work site or in the field where they are working. If you are interested in hosting one of our seniors, please contact me.
