Weekly Newsletter 07/28/2023

Dear Parents,

It seems like summer just began and now we are in the homestretch!

After this week, we will have one more full week so the last weekly letter for the summer will be next Friday.

This week our kids in all classes except Red and Yellow participated in an onsite field trip with Kiddz Sense. Sylvia visited with students in the Science Lab and read several stories and turned them into a real sensory and audience participation activity. The younger classes acted out with her the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Some classes acted out Chicka Chicka Boom Boom while others has a sensory experience with the Dr. Suess classic, The Lorax. If your child attended on any of those days, you will see a $7 charge to your account. Next week our oldest kids will have a visit from the Miami Children's Museum.

We are all gearing up for a fabulous back-to-school event. Thank you to those families who have already signed up for our Open House event on August 11th (we are closed that day for care). Remember we can accommodate 2 adults at this event and ask that kids stay home. If you have not signed up, please do so.

For those families who need new uniforms for the fall, we will have those for sale. We have many of the sizes now and will have the rest hopefully by the end of next week. Also, the second week of August which is our short week, (CLOSING at 2 pm on the 10th and CLOSED the 11th) we will be giving all families new school bags, and pillows and blankets for those kids who nap to start fresh for the school year.

Finally, thank you to all families who have volunteered to help me with the teacher surprise in recognition of their hard work in achieving NAEYC, National Accreditation. If you still wish to help, please see me.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Beth Rosenthal Davis, Ed.S, NBCT
