Newcastle Chamber Update - October 31 2022
Networking And The AGM
Updated Board Of Directors
On October 20th the Chamber held its first networking event combined with our annual meeting. We are pleased to announce our updated Board of Directors:
Directors At Large
Jane Black will assume the role of Past President and will hold an advisory role to the executive members. Samantha Burkus has stepped down as a director and remains a Chamber member. We welcome Kendra Scott to the board and look forward to working with her.
We will be getting busy moving the Chamber forward and starting to get the various activities happening again. We have a meeting coming up with Durham College to organize a joint event in the new year. Watch for updates and how it can be of benefit to your business. As always, we welcome your input and encourage you to send ideas for events, topic recommendations for seminars, updates about your business or community news. I would like to include a new section in our newsletter “Did You Know” and will appreciate getting updates on various topics from our members.
We will continue to support the fundraising efforts of Durham Region Hospice - Clarington as well as give support to local community initiatives.
Please send your ideas to:
