Assistance from the State:
The CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program provides financial assistance for rent and utilities to income-eligible California renters and their landlords who have been impacted by COVID-19.
Both renters and landlords can apply for assistance. Depending on the address of your rental property, you may be eligible for a local program. Apply Now to determine which program is right for you.
For additional information, including eligibility and application help, call our CA COVID-19 Rent Relief Call Center at 833-430-2122.
If you need assistance in another language, or to get help to see if you’re eligible, help you fill out an application, or upload required paperwork, schedule an appointment with an organization near you by calling 833-687-0967.

2021 COVID-19 City of Los Angeles Emergency Renters Assistance Program (ERAP)
The Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD) invites you to attend our free 2021 webinars. For the month of September we will focus on the “2021 COVID-19 City of Los Angeles Emergency Renters Assistance Program (ERAP).” The webinars will provide an update on the current program as well as the City’s new partnership with the State of California to provide more rental assistance to ensure that every renter and landlord affected by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for financial assistance. Central Board Appoints New Board Member
|
|
At the August monthly Board and Stakeholder Meeting, Emma Rault was appointed by the board as the newest Central San Pedro Board Member. Emma is new to San Pedro and states she is really impressed by all the different forms of community outreach and engagement here--from volunteer-run historical research and conservation to little free pantries and beach clean-ups.
Emma has joined the CeSPNC Port Committee and is well on her way to becoming a valuable member of the CeSPNC team. And speaking of new board members, we still have a vacancy on the board which we will be filling at our September meeting. If you are interested, see below:

The Central San Pedro Neighborhood Council is seeking committee chairs and members. If you are a stakeholder and interesting in participating to improve your community, why not consider becoming part of a committee. Stakeholders can also Chair committees. We are currently looking for Chairs and Members for our Homelessness Committee and our Public Safety Committee.

Funding from Port’s Community Investment Grant Program to Support Local Workforce Development, Education, Environment and LA Waterfront
|
|
SAN PEDRO, Calif. – Sept. 2, 2021 – The Port of Los Angeles has awarded $1 million in grants to 27 local organizations to support programs, projects and events benefiting a wide variety of communities, both locally and statewide. A total of 49 organizations applied for Fiscal Year 2021/22 funding from the Port’s Community Investment Grant Program, which has now awarded a total of 235 community grants totaling $7 million over the last eight years.
“This year’s nonprofit grantees and all past recipients play a vital role in our community, delivering important and valuable services and activities that help make the Los Angeles Harbor area stronger, more resilient and more connected,” said Los Angeles Harbor Commissioner President Jaime Lee. “The Port of Los Angeles is proud to support such worthy and dedicated organizations.”

Homebound vaccinations are available!
|
|
In the video above, learn more about how nurses are fanning out across LA County to make vaccinations available to homebound residents.
People who are homebound can request a vaccinator for an in-home vaccination by contacting the Public Health Vaccine Call Center at (833) 540-0473. Homebound residents can also fill out a form on the Public Health website to request this service.
