Zion’s School mission is “Teaching Christ and Serving Families.” The school shares Christ by teaching students about Christ and changes lives by serving the school families.

Our vision is that all students will experience God’s love and forgiveness and learn to show that same forgiveness to others. Students will be safe, responsible, and respectful to themselves and others, and achieve academically to the best of their ability.

“TODAY OUR LITTLEST ONE THAT GOES TO THE PRESCHOOL WAS ALMOST HIT!”  (Zion Parent)

The Zion Church and School parking lot can sometimes the cause safety problems. We need to be diligent as drivers and parents about the safety rules that we have in place. Schedules can cause drivers to make hurried decisions and at times unsafe decisions with their automobiles. School parking lots are crowded and our little ones are still learning to follow the parking lot rules. ie not darting out in front of cars, staying with parents while in the parking lot, etc. cars. Always remember that parking lots can be very difficult and frustrating. Be safe, model safe behavior, and be part of the solution. Please follow our safety rules to keep all of our students safe when they are dropped off and picked up from school every day.

  • Drive at a safe speed through the parking lot.
  • Watch out for children darting into traffic.
  • Please follow the flow of traffic as indicated by the direction arrows painted on the asphalt in the parking lot.
  • Park in parking spots and do not block other cars or driveways even for "just a couple of minutes."

Should you choose to use Cypress Street:

  • Travel in a west to east direction only and follow the loop around back to

     East St.

  • Do Not Park in the coned area before or after school.
  • Respect our neighbors by not honking or trespassing on their property, or blocking driveways.
  • Remember the Street Sweeper comes on Monday mornings around 8:30 A.M. Do Not Park On Cypress St.

THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING

What a great time everyone had.  We had a fantastic turn out at the first PTSL Event of the year! Thank you to all who attended this fun filled family night!  We look forward to seeing you at the next PTSL Event!

FALL FUNDRAISER

Last week we kicked off our Fall Fundraiser. Our goal is 100% class participation so that we can all attend the DJ Glow party later this fall. What does that look like? It’s as simple as each child selling 1 (one) item.

The first thing you need to do, if you haven’t already, is register your student online at www.shopfund.com. Send 10 emails/texts or post on Facebook to let family and friends know how they can help. When 10 people have clicked on the link your child will earn a Baby Shark keychain.

That’s it for this week – look for more updates on our progress throughout the sale!

SCRIP

Welcome to this new school year and Scrip. We would like to invite all families to purchase Scrip and enjoy a tuition rebate. Contact Linda at 714-315-1738 for complete details. Place your order before 10:15 pm on Sunday and you will receive it by Thursday of that week. Boxes in ECEC, SAC, Church and the School for your orders must be received by Friday to have your scrip by Thursday of the next week.
