Hello Families and Friends,

Faculty returned from winter break today. They spent the day studying our curriculum, ERB results, Executive Functioning Strategies, and worked together on ISACS Accreditation Progress Reports. This professional development time is greatly appreciated for collaborating on key teaching and learning content.

Please join us in welcoming Scarlett S. and Angelique C., two new middle school students, who will join our Grade 7 students next week!

We are so excited to see students, families, and friends for the start of our 2nd semester. Please see below for important information regarding our return to school, including upcoming registration deadlines, the start of our 2025 boys' basketball season, and a review of our inclement weather policy.

Best,

Inclement Weather/Snow Days

As we approach the potential of winter weather, we wanted to call your attention to the inclement weather policy.

It is Topeka Collegiate’s intent to conduct school each day of the current school calendar unless

inclement weather prohibits travel to and from school. Topeka Collegiate will determine a school closing with the safety of students, families, and employees as the priority.

Although we will not follow Topeka USD 501 and Washburn Rural USD 437 closings, their decision to close will be considered when determining a school closing.

There may be days we decide to have a delayed start time to allow road conditions to improve.

Beforecare will not be available before a late start. Topeka Collegiate will communicate a closing through a parent alert text and local media. Every effort will be made to communicate a school closing as early as possible.Lin

Welcome back and stay warm and safe this weekend!
