Report Cards Will Go Home Today
Please be on the lookout for an email, later today, from Alise Reynolds, with a personal link to your child’s report card.  (Mrs. Reynolds is Grace's Director of Technology)

Students in Kindergarten through eighth grade will receive report cards for the first quarter of school. Students will be given developmentally appropriate feedback in the form of a narrative comment. In addition to their core classes, students in 5th-8th grade receive a letter grade in Spanish, and our middle school students also receive letter grades in each of their resource classes.

All homeroom teachers have provided comments on report cards, sharing observations and insights from this quarter. Subject area and resource teachers have provided a second quarter course overview in the announcements section of each class, located in the FACTS Family Portal. Log into the Family Portal here, go to the menu bar on the left and click on school, classes, and then the class name you would like to view. You can also view them in the app. Don’t miss the opportunity to read these. Our students have been learning amazing things!

Students in Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades are evaluated based on skill acquisition and mastery.

Evaluation Key:
O= Work is consistently above grade level
S=Work meets grade level expectations
P=Progressing toward grade level expectations
U=Below grade level expectations - area of concern
Blank = Not yet introduced

3rd - 8th grade students receive letter grades:
A = 100-90 Excellent
B = 89-80 Very Good
C = 79-70 Satisfactory
D = 69-60 Needs Improvement
F = 59 - 0 Unsatisfactory

Remember, please be on the lookout for an email, later today, from Alise Reynolds, with a personal link to your child’s report card. If you should have any questions about your child’s report card, please reach out directly to the homeroom teacher.

Athelete of the Week
Jeremiah W., 3rd Grade
Congratulations to this week's Athlete of the Week, Jeremiah W. in Ms. Dunn's 3rd grade class. During the third grade unit on football, Jeremiah has been a stand out athlete due to his athletic abilities and good sportsmanship. He is also a great leader and team player. Well done Jeremiah!
Artist of the Week
Ashley and Olivia
Congratuations to our new Artisits of the Week from Mrs. Taylor's 8th grade class, Ashley and Olivia. They each drew a beautiful picture of a toucan. They used oil pastels to blend colors and add texture. They finished these mixed media pieces by adding paint to the background. Beautiful work girls!

Parent Resources
We're going to try something new! The Eagle Extras will now feature a parent resource section. We'll try to include articles or links to information that may be helpful for our parents.

This week's inclusion is all about TikTok...everything you ever needed to know to keep up with your children. October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and we know kids can experience a lot of social pressures that feel amplified by our increasingly digital lives. It can be hard to know how to broach these topics with our kids, so we hope this resource helps make it a little easier. Take a moment to check out the information below if you're curious about TIkTok and how to talk with your children.
