Shannon Construction supports a variety of charities and volunteer organizations to help better the lives and opportunities of others; we live this to the core of our values.

Only a few short months before the country was forced to shut down, our very own Richard Amberson introduced Shannon Construction to Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh, an organization dedicated to providing safe housing for homeowners who can’t afford necessary repairs. RTP, founded by PA carpenters and the Master Builders’ Association, works deliberately in less fortunate communities and neighborhoods, targeting homes most in need of repair.

Rich Amberson, Executive Vice President of Shannon Construction and a member of the Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh, contributes personally and professionally. His main goal for the organization is to identify funding opportunities to ensure as many repairs as possible throughout Allegheny County.

Rich’s efforts have proven significant as the Pittsburgh Chapter completed more than 370 extremely comprehensive, minor, or emergency repairs during 2021. Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh is driving community reestablishment throughout Allegheny County and preserving historically cultural neighborhoods from gentrification.

Numerous opportunities exist for organizations nationwide to participate with a local chapter of Rebuilding Together and options to donate.
