Donor Spotlight
Piano donated in memory of Marcia Heinz Birsinger
The Birsinger Family generously donated a Wurlitzer Upright Piano in memory of Marcia Heinz Birsinger. Marcia was energetic and had an incredible spirit. She loved music in her home and each of her children took piano lessons on the very same Wurlitzer piano.

Griffin Spotlight
Meet the Teacher, Angela Beane, Aristoi Katy Elementary, Kindergarten Teacher
“What do ‘Doers’ do?” That’s typically what Aristoi Kindergarten teacher, Angela Beane, asks her students. And, typically, in sweet reply, the littlest of scholars will shout out, “Make things happen!”. Beane herself is a “Doer.”  She’s been “doing” kindergarten for 16 years at Aristoi and has never looked back, constantly improving her teaching, trying new things, and remaining flexible even in this challenging year.

Megan Lindsey, Aristoi Alumna, Class of 2019
The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) was the furthest thing from her mind when Megan Lindsey began her high school career at Aristoi. “I didn’t care about school. I procrastinated. I was not good at time management.” Then, she entered the halls of Aristoi and realized something was different.

We're asking Aristoi Alumni to share your accomplishments with us and you might
see yourself in our next issue!
Campus Updates
  • Aristoi Cypress Elementary opened with 89 students and welcomed K-4 students on campus!
  • Aristoi Griffins started online learning on August 17th
  • On-campus learning began September 8th
  • Fifty-four percent of Aristoi students are on-campus
  • Meet the Teacher events were conducted via Zoom and Drive-Thru
  • The new Canvas and Seesaw Learning Management System was deployed within two weeks, and is utilized by teachers and students
  • Canvas will be used throughout the year so that students who become ill or have a family emergency may still engage and continue their education online
Parent Contributions
  • Aristoi Katy PTO donated to the school-wide signage project at the Aristoi Katy Elementary Campus. People far and wide now know Aristoi Katy Elementary is on the 11th Street Campus.

  • The Aristoi Booster Club donated a wonderful awning to the front of the Griffin Center. Bleachers are now on the sidelines of Griffin Field, too, because of ABC's hard work and donations.

  • Aristoi Cypress PTO has not even officially met yet, but they had a sweet kick-off as they treated Cypress teachers and staff to some treats and refreshments on the first day of school.
