BPL subscribes to a variety of magazines. One title of local interest is the periodical Connecticut Explored (formerly Hog River Journal). Published quarterly by Connecticut Explored, Inc., the current issue celebrates its 20th anniversary in publication.
Each issue explores a different theme of Connecticut history. In addition to articles, there is a page for young readers, CT History for Kids, and spotlight pages on cultural news and events around Connecticut. You can also listen to their podcast, Grating the Nutmeg, here.
Find the physical copy of the magazine at Prosser, and lots of other magazines at both our library locations. To read our digital magazines, click the button below. Happy exploring!

To celebrate Children's Book Week, Bloomfield Public Library will be giving out book-themed activity kits at both of our locations. Families can claim a Golden Book, Pete the Cat, or Bad Guys activity kit (while supplies last). Just stop by either of our BPL locations to claim your kit!

Improve your brain health—now and in the future. Join us for an engaging book event with Dr. Marc Milstein to celebrate this new release, The Age-Proof Brain, as part of the Memory Care Series #2. For Adults.
|
A no-school day means it's time to relax! Both of our locations will have resources for kids and teens to create their own Zentangle designs that can be made into buttons or pins for coats, backpacks, or wherever you want to wear them! For Children and Teens.
