Come read to a furry friend! A registered therapy dog and handler, trained in the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.)® program, will visit the library to meet with young readers. Sign up for a 20-minute time slot. Open to all, including pre-readers, those with special needs, and those wishing to become comfortable around dogs. As part of our NEA Big Read programming, we will host a panel of activists who will speak on topics connected to the novel Interior Chinatown by Charles Yu.

We will discuss issues faced by Asian Americans, censorship, AAPI Studies legislation, and the mission of their various organizations, as well as how to be an ally and activist in your community. There will also be time for Q&A. For Adults.
