FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

RStranges.jpg

We have had such a wonderful start to our school year! I want to thank all of you for reinforcing the ID badges for all students and staff. Students are stowing away their cell phones during class time which has made teaching and learning so much more productive.  It is so good to see smiles on faces and the enthusiasm has been contagious. Rutherford B. Hayes High School is such a great place to be. We have some birthday celebrations this year that are significant. Our school building turned 60 last week (1962) and our namesake, President Hayes turns 200 next month on October 4 (1822). We have a full day celebration planned with a Tribute Ceremony at the Hayes Statue Plaza downtown with local dignitaries and the Paraguayan Ambassador in attendance. That ceremony begins at 8:30am. At noon, the celebration continues at Ohio Wesleyan University Merrick Hall. Finally, in the evening a dinner and program here at Hayes beginning at 6:00pm. The dinner is $50 but if you would like to attend the program only in the auditorium at 7:00pm, admission is free. It will be educational, engaging and enlightening! We hope to see you there and once again, thank you for your continued support.

Homecoming FAQ

SCHOOL FEES

Why do I have a technology fee on my account?

All students automatically had a $35 technology protection fee added to their account for the 22/23 school year. If you would like to be covered, the fee must be paid by 9/24/22. After 9/24/22, any unpaid 22/23 technology fees will be removed from your account and you will NOT be covered.

Why can't I see the money I just added to my students lunch account?

It can take 24 to 48 hours for your lunch account to be updated after adding money through Payschools.
