MEET THE TEAM: BRENDA

We are so excited to take the opportunity to begin introducing our amazing team behind the scenes that keep our programs and services running at the Region 5 Office.

Introducing our fabulous Executive Director Brenda Genaille 💙 When Brenda first joined the Region 5 team in January of 2021, she was the Covid 19 Resource Worker and added our citizens with any support and services we could to make it through those trying times. In August of 2021, Brenda became our Executive Director and we couldn't be happier.

In her fundamental role, Brenda assists in many of our Region 5 programs and services in various ways. She writes funding proposals, helps create, establish, and deliver new programs with our team to our citizens, maintains our financial accounting system, attends Regional Council Meetings, completes much of office correspondence, is hands on with our citizens at our events, often is the amazing cook behind our event meals, makes some delicous bannock, and much more!

When working, Brenda says there is nothing better than meeting the Métis citizens of our region one-on-one, and working with the awesome Region 5 team! If you happen to catch her outside of work, you could probably find her spending time with her family and pets, quadding, swimming, hiking, going to the gym, or baking. Brenda is truly a community builder, helper, and a integral part of our team. Say "Hi" next time you see her 👋🏽
