Purdue Athletics and Greater Lafayette Commerce are pleased to invite Greater Lafayette Commerce members to the First Annual Hammer & Steel Networking Event. As part of this exclusive, invitation-only event, Purdue student-athletes will engage with you and your company about potential internship, employment and NIL (name, image and likeness) opportunities.
Purdue student-athletes are attractive to hire because they have four years of experience in a fast-paced, competitive and high stress atmosphere. Research shows that student-athletes have strong qualities of adaptability, responsibility, energy and a take-initiative approach. It’s our hope that they can bring great value to your company as well.
This free event will take place on Monday, April 11 from 5:30-8:15 p.m. in Shively Club, which is located on the third floor of Ross-Ade Pavilion. Refreshments and appetizers will be provided.
This event will cover the following key topics:
-
NETWORKING – Engage with 1869 members, alumni, local businesses and current student-athletes
-
NIL (NAME, IMAGE LIKENESS) – Opportunities & Education Resources
-
GUEST SPEAKERS – Opportunity to hear from nationally recognized coaches and student-athletes
-
1869 SOCIETY INTRO – Opportunity to learn how you can impact our student-athletes outside of athletics
This event is made possible through 1869 Society Members, a combination of small and large businesses that have invested in the personal and professional development of Purdue student-athletes.
