The Children’s Trust will be holding its first TRIM hearing to tentatively adopt its millage rate and budget for 2021-2022; a public hearing to tentatively adopt the taxes and budget will be held on Monday, September 13, 5:01 p.m. The final TRIM hearing will be held on Monday, September 20, at 5 p.m.

The last two Provider Meetings were a huge success! Let’s keep the momentum going! The Children's Trust will host a general session for all Trust-funded providers from 9-11 am. Breakout sessions will follow for providers in the areas of Youth Development K-5, 6-12, Parenting/Family Strengthening and Partnerships and will take place from 11-12 p.m. Please ensure that all staff members who are essential to our partnership attend this virtual meeting; this includes your executive director/CEO for the morning session, along with the individuals who manage your program for the breakout sessions.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Breakout session log-in details will be provided during the general session.

We are excited to announce that on-site metrics visits will be taking place this fall. Program managers will visit your programs to review and support your continuous quality improvement efforts. The Metrics tool for 21-22 has been updated and can be found here. Please review carefully with your team as there are some minor updates to the Metrics tool. Updates are highlighted in yellow. Note: visits will begin mid-September. In the upcoming weeks, your program manager will be reaching out for any needed information prior to your visit. If you have any questions, please reach out to your program manager.

The Children's Trust is sponsoring two SPARK (Sports, Play, and Active Recreation for Kids) trainings that will be provided in person in September. Both trainings are for contracted Youth Development K-5 providers using SPARK curriculum for fitness and are exactly the same.

Communities of Practice for Parenting Program providers are back up and running! Join a community where members support one another, share best practices and deepen their knowledge. All of the following CoPs are currently being offered virtually and are appropriate for direct service providers and supervisors of Parenting Programs. Parent Stressors & Barriers - This CoP will be held on the first Wednesday of each month from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. In this CoP, we will be identifying key stressors and barriers your families may currently be facing, as well as identifying and practicing strategies to solve these barriers. The Media Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Communications with all forms of media, including earned and paid media, sponsored content, and social media.
