2022 Holiday Decorating Contest

It's that time again -- to brighten up our town with holiday decor!

A panel of judges has been assembled for Discover Haverford’s 2022 Holiday Display Contest who will judge store window displays and facades in Haverford Township from Sunday, December 4th through Saturday, December 10th. To register for the competition a business must inform Discover Haverford by signing up via e-mail at donaldkelly@aol.com. The deadline to register is Wednesday, November 30th.

Havertown Holiday Festival

Saturday, December 10th (Raindate 12/11)

The Havertown Holiday Festival will be a family friendly event from 11:00 am to 9:00pm focused on Christmas, Hanukah, and Winter Fun! We will have visits from Elsa, Buddy the Elf and Santa, live holiday music, excerpts from the Nutcracker, story time and crafts for kids, food vendors, beer & hot drink vendors, a holiday gift marketplace, an ice sculpture demonstration, and a tree lighting with Caroling!

Haverford Dance Center makes its debut on Brookline Blvd!

Krstina Early is no stranger to Haverford or dance. While she grew up in Upper Darby, she danced at a few schools within Delaware County, ending up at West Chester University, where she minored in dance and met her husband Tim. Her love of dance, musicality, and fun movement have given her the stepping stones to take on a huge role at 564 Brookline Blvd, Havertown, PA.

Plastic Bag Ordinance

In April 2022, the Board of Commissioners passed an ordinance to reduce the use of single-use plastics throughout our community. The ordinance will go into effect on January 2, 2023 – so start planning now to be part of the solution and bring your own bags when shopping local.
