District Calendar Change ~ Winter Break
The start of the 2021-22 school year has been a challenge for everyone as the global COVID pandemic continues. Students and families, teachers and staff have been working hard to return to in-person learning. For the mental and physical health and wellbeing of all, the School Board unanimously approved a calendar modification adding two days to winter break in order for everyone to re-energize.

Winter break has been extended to a full two weeks and now includes Monday, December 20 and Tuesday, December 21 as no school days.

School will resume on Monday, January 3 as originally planned. Thank you for your flexibility with these calendar changes.

Aquila Musical ~ Madagascar - A Musical Adventure JR.
Roles will be announced on Monday, December 6. Students will receive information in their classrooms from Mrs. Haen, Mr. Nelson and Ms. Bishop. Students will receive a student/family contract for participation to be signed and returned, a rehearsal schedule, their role in the show and some special surprises.

Rehearsal Information:
*First rehearsal: Thursday, December 9, from 2:30-4:00 PM
*Rehearsals will take place each week on Thursday, from 2:30-4:00 PM.
*There will be additional scheduled practices for actors who sing solos on select Mondays.

Mandatory Zoom Meeting for Parents/Guardians:
Thursday, December 9 from 6:00-6:45 PM

We will expect a representative adult for each student to attend virtually. If you cannot attend the meeting, please let us know ahead of time, via email. It is key that parents/guardians have all the information and are clear on expectations before we begin. This is part of our community building and beneficial for the overall success of our show. We thank you in advance for you support in helping us make a lasting memory and experience for your child.

We are looking forward to entertaining you all!
