DWC OFFICES PARTIALLY REOPEN
Per the DWC Newsline of 7/20/2021 the public counters at all district offices will reopen only for in-person filing, questions, and assistance. This also includes access to the the I&A Officers and RTW Supplement kiosks.
Until further notice, there still remains no in-person "walk-throughs" nor any conference or trial hearings which will continue to be handled through the present telephone conference and LifeScan video procedures.
[COMMENT: Rumor is the largely non in-person approach will remain in effect through the end of the year, with the possible exception of complex trials.]
HEWS NEWS:
H. Neal Wells IV has created an easy to use reference guide on how to better understand the coverage information provided by the WCIRB. This guide is in the NEWS section of our website, and will be published in the next Workers' Compensation Quarterly by the California Lawyers Association. If you need assistance on a work comp coverage issue such as on a general-special employer situation, you can reach Mr. Wells in our Calabasas Office (hnw@hmplc.com.)
Congratulations to our August anniversary attorneys with HEWS, which includes shareholder Angela M. Currie (15 years), Lisa M. Angel (9 years) and Mylene B. Aleba (7 years).
