Introducing: Tree Corps
With generous support from The Champlin Foundation, The Newport Tree Conservancy has a new vehicle outfitted for the care of Newport's trees. Our new F-150 pickup truck has a water tank, room for mulch, tools, and a trailer allowing us to expand our tree care capacity through an exciting new volunteer initiative: The NTC Tree Corps.

The Tree Corps is a community-wide opportunity to engage citizens with the trees in their neighborhood and the city as a whole. Volunteers will be planting, watering, monitoring and caring for our trees, so that they can grow and thrive for decades to come.

We invite you to join us in this new volunteer effort to help steward our urban forest. Volunteers will work in small groups (maintaining safe distancing) while learning about trees throughout Newport. Learn how to properly care for Newport's trees all while helping NTC staff to properly document and maintain our shared urban forest. We need your help to be successful in this new venture!
Please note, if you have previously signed up to volunteer with us, we ask that you please re-register with our new system via the link above.
Upcoming Events
We have lots of new virtual and in-person events on the horizon, we've added an Events section to our webpage where you can browse and register for upcoming tree walks, presentations and workshops.

Bare Root Trees Still Available
We still have a number of Bare Root Trees available. These trees need to be planted in April, so make sure to submit your application soon.

Please spread the word to your neighbors that might not be in the know.

These trees can be planted on public sites as well, so if you know of a spot around town that could use a new tree, consider sponsoring one for others to enjoy!
