Summer of Service Camp - June 27th - August 12th

Spend your summer making the world a better place with our inclusive Summer of Service Camps. Teens of all abilities work directly with community non-profits, learning and reflecting on social responsibility. Join us again on the grounds of the Bender JCC in Rockville. This summer, middle and high school teens will split their week between earning SSL hours through activities like packaging kits for the Ronald McDonald house, assisting the men and women who volunteer at A Wider Circle, and much more. We will follow a hybrid approach: some activities will be done on campus, and others will take place at various sites. Combine that with all the fun of a typical camp day and you have a recipe for a rewarding summer. To learn more and apply, visit https://www.edcjcc.org/children-families/camp/camp-jcc/.

Mask Policy Update:

You may have heard that the Mayor recently announced changes in DC around the COVID vaccine and masking protocols. Below is an update on how this will play out at the EDCJCC.

  • We will continue to require all individuals over the age of 12 to show proof of vaccination in order to enter the building. (We will re-evaluate this policy when the vaccine is approved for children under 5, but for the time being it remains our collective responsibility to do what we can to protect the health and well being of the youngest children in our community.)

  • Effective March 1, masking will be optional in the Fitness Center, Pool, and Locker Rooms, as long as young children are not present. We will continue to require masks in all other public spaces.

Updates to our policies can be found at edcjcc.org/covid19. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback on these latest updates, contact Dava Schub at info@edcjcc.org.
