Dear Friends of The Blue Purl,
After weeks of fervent, down to the wire voting and ferocious tabulating, the shop's Selection Committee proudly announces our inaugural TBP's March Madness Color Championship epic matchup between:

Marianated Scrumptious HT's The Blue Purl

versus

Which will be TBP's March Madness Color Champion? Only your votes will lead us to the final contender to emerge victorious from this month-long color slugfest. Make your voice heard by voting here or on our webpage by clicking onto the March Madness Final tab.

The clock struck midnight. Poof! Cinderella's carriage turned into a pumpkin and left nothing behind but a glass US 7 needle. Alas, O-Wool O-Wash Worsted's Barn Owl, gave its all but ultimately succumbed in the 4th quarter crushing voters' landslide to Marianated Scrumptious HT's The Blue Purl. Up until just last week, it was truly a bracket busting run. Our resident glass-half-full/yarn-chicken optimists cheerily remind us not to worry there's always next year. Sigh.

On the other side of the bracket, Baah's La Jolla, February '22 and MadelineTosh MTL Cardigan were alternating vote counts, like Ali and Fraiser landing body blows, in a closely heated contest. Ultimately, luck ran out for Feb'22 but Cardigan kept the eye on the prize with a last minute buzzer beater to continue on to the final. A veritable rollercoaster thrill ride to the very end!

Reminder: vote, vote and vote some more for your Champion!

Next week, the March Color Champion will be crowned!

Look to our Instagram or newsletter. The final result will be announced next week right here. Remember to enter your name and email for prize eligibility at the end of the vote.

Colleen's a Vision in Tweed
Colleen's looking snazzy in her 1 Audrey Cardigan, pattern by Isabell Kraemer. She used gorgeous Kelbourne's Lucky Tweed. Love the thumb hook details on the sleeves and the tweedy fab color combo. Looking awesome, Colleen!
Pete's battling the elements...
Look at Pete fending off the cold spray of Lake Michigan! He's wearing his beloved, bright orange Jacques Cousteau hat mom, Diana made in Sandnes Garn's Double Sunday. Actually, Diana's casting on to make a replacement for Pete who tragically lost the original possibly at sea, well, at Great Lake. Unlike, Titanic, though, this story has a happy sequel.) What a great mom, Diana!
Noelle's making and making
Noelle's finished her beautiful Mitred Square blanket made with absolutely luxurious O-Wool O-Wash Worsted. She's an A+ student in Keri's blanket class. Not only does Noelle knit, she also sews. Check out this sweet, smocked, baby dress. We bet lots of heirlooms await those lucky littles!
Brioche Baby!!
Sharon's on it! She's a brioche class superstar killing the Brioche Untangled Scarf pattern in Carolyn's class! This yummy mix is with MadelineTosh DK! A++, Ms. Sharon!
Chris awaits...
Chris made this super cute Norwegian Fir sweater for a soon-to-arrive grandbaby girl. Love pink and the perfect button! She used Lang's Cashmerino for Babies. What a nice, quick interlude project from all that stockinette in the Birkin. Nice work, Chris!
Lisa's Felted Clogs

Lisa finished her Felted Clogs, another A+ student in another of Keri's classes. She used Cascade 220 and Fashion Fur (available in shop). Love the snuggly, furry cuff, bold color choice and button detail. Quite a short row feat for the feet (ugh on the pun). Terrific work, Lisa!
Indiana and Sunday
Sally made her granddaughter, Indiana a PetiteKnit Sunday Sweater using Plymouth Homestead (available in shop) held with Farmers Daughter Mighty Mo. So love companion knitting. Nice work and lovely model!
A sweet Macaroon
Cheryl whipped up one of our shop favs, French Macaroon in Cascade's Ultra Pima Cotton complete with little basketball button for her baby grandson. His dad is imprinting... Go, Dallas Mavericks!
