Campus Announcements

Green Line and Orange Line Service Changes


The MBTA announced a month-long shutdown of Green Line service between Government Center and Union Square stations beginning on August 22, and a month-long shutdown of the entire Orange Line beginning on August 19. More information, including service alternatives, can be found on the MBTA website.

 

For Students: If you wish to change or cancel your MBTA Fall Semester Pass, please remember that you must do so via the Transportation Management Portal by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10. Parking & Transportation Services is unable to cancel passes or issue refunds after that date.


For Faculty and Staff: If this will impact your commuting choices, please remember that the deadline for changes to the next month’s MBTA pass order is on the 10th of each month:

  • To cancel your MBTA Pass Benefit from September onward, you must cancel by August 10.
  • To resume your MBTA Pass Benefit in October, you must reapply by September 10.
  • To manage your MBTA benefit, log into BUworks, select the “Employee Self Service” tab, and then go to “Campus Services.” Parking & Transportation Services is unable to change or cancel orders after the 10th.

BEAMS is Back In Person!


BUSM Education, Advising & Mentoring in STEM-M (BEAMS) is an initiative of the Department of Medical Sciences & Education (MSE) at BUSM. Created in 2017 to provide exposure and enrichment in biomedical research and health care professions for students attending any Boston public high school, it seeks to increase engagement and enrollment of these high-school students in post-graduate STEM-M-related studies and careers. This summer BEAMS returned to an in-person format with a two-week program on the Medical Campus.
