Human Trafficking is Real
And it occurs too often in South Florida. During this, National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the Nancy J. Cotterman Center (NJCC) teamed up with the Broward Human Trafficking Coalition to teach businesses to recognize it. They also asked if QR Codes could be placed in their establishments so victims or survivors could use it to access resources. As a result of the outreach, some businesses even asked to be trained on what to look for. Florida has the third highest number of human trafficking cases in the country. The NJCC provides crisis intervention and support for victims in Broward. Call 954-761-7273 for more information.
