Steve Ducham, Esq. - Title Counsel

sducham@catic.com

Steve brings to CATIC his nearly 20 years of experience as a real estate attorney in Vermont, first as a solo practitioner in St. Albans and then as a partner at Monaghan Safar Ducham PLLC in Burlington. Steve represented individuals, businesses, and lending institutions in a wide variety of real estate transactions, from simple residential closings to complex commercial financing projects. He developed extensive experience with farm succession, common interest communities, land conservation, and in recent years, affordable housing projects involving a mix of private and public funding. In addition to real estate, Steve's practice included estate planning, probate administration, and general corporate counsel.

Steve is a multi-generational Vermonter. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 1993 with a B.S. in Environmental Studies and from Vermont Law School in 2003 with a Juris Doctor and Master of Studies in Environmental Law, cum laude. Prior to law school, Steve worked extensively on forestry and Indigenous land use issues in Southeast Asia, first as a research assistant in the remote rainforests of Borneo and then as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines.

Steve is excited to join CATIC and looks forward to serving Vermont's excellent CATIC agents in his new role as state Title Counsel.
