Every year, the Sacramento Jewish Film Festival, a program of the Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region, presents short films from all over the world.

Here are some more highlights from each of the three weeks of streaming.
Breakfast at Ina's

From March 1 through March 7, we will be streaming Breakfast at Ina’s.

Ina Pinkney is a Chicago legend of the tastiest kind. Known around town as the Breakfast Queen, she has been feeding Chicagoans for the past 33 years. Now facing the late stages of polio, Ina has decided to close the doors of her beloved breakfast nook. The documentary, Breakfast at Ina’s gives audiences a glimpse into Ina’s extraordinary life, all while chronicling the last days of the restaurant as she and her staff serve up its final meals.

Karaoke

A bittersweet comedy about a middle-class suburban couple in their 60s who are drawn to their new neighbor, a charismatic bachelor who has karaoke evenings at his apartment.

Charlotte

From March 15 through March 21, we will be streaming Charlotte.

And, you can see Charlotte at the Crocker Art Museum on Sunday, March 19.
An account of German-Jewish artist Charlotte Salomon's life in the south of France between 1941 and 1943, before she was sent to Auschwitz during World War II. Inspired by her memoir "Life? or Theatre?"

The Sacramento Jewish Film Festival will be celebrating its 24rd season in 2023, bringing the community together for entertaining, provocative, and educational films.

The Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region is a philanthropic organization that provides educational, cultural, and social services programs to the Jewish community locally and around the world. The Federation movement protects and enhances the well-being of Jews worldwide through the values of “tikkun olam” (repairing the world) and “tzedakah” (charity and social justice).

The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) educates about and advocates on behalf of issues of vital importance to the Jewish community.
