New School Overview Videos

We are delighted to share these new videos that will help us introduce prospective families to our outstanding programs. Four videos were created to showcase each of the curricular departments highlighted on our website.

The videos were created by WWS Alum and NYC-based Producer/Filmmaker, Daniel J. Zika ('19) assisted by WWS Alum & Journalist, Linus Dentel ('19). We so much appreciate their making freelance time to bring these videos to life. Daniel works for EverWonder Studios and Linus works as a production associate for ABC World News Tonight with David Muir. It was great to have the perspective of two alums who grew up at WWS.

Thanks to Daniel & Linus for the great work! Thanks the faculty who sat for interviews and to all who made space during lessons for filming!

Support the Gala & Make a Difference!

Gala-2025-Horizontal-image image

Saturday, April 26

Inspired by the magic of fairy tales at the heart of Waldorf education, this year’s Gala weaves imagination, wonder, and community into an unforgettable evening. Just as stories teach courage, kindness, and the power of possibility, our gathering celebrates the journey of every child at Washington Waldorf School. Through your generosity, we continue to nurture dreams and ensure that more than 40% of our families can share in this transformative education. Join us as we bring this enchanted tale to life—because at Waldorf, we're imagining every step of the way.

Buy Tickets

We need your help to make this year’s Gala a success!  Here are ways to contribute:

  • Host a Buy-In Party – Gather folks for a fun experience (dinner party, wine tasting, fitness class—you name it!), where guests buy a spot to attend. It’s a great way to connect and give back!
  • Donate an Item We’re looking for amazing items for our auction, raffle, and donor gift bags. Think gift cards, unique experiences, specialty goods, or services—every contribution helps!
  • Become a Sponsor - Whether for businesses or families, you can bundle your tickets with your giving and receive tickets to an exclusive donor reception along with other benefits.

Your generosity directly supports WWS Financial Aid, and all donors will be recognized.

Let’s work together to create an unforgettable evening that strengthens our community and makes a meaningful impact. If you have any questions please email Erika. Thank you for being an essential part of this journey!

Help Beautify Our Campus!

Saturday, March 8 from 10am - 12pm

Members of the new WWS Land Stewardship Committee are excited to invite all WWS students, caregivers, and families to a campus beautification event on March 8.

We will be doing simple maintenance work to beautify the CG playground area, front garden beds, and other areas adjacent to the school building. There will be jobs for all ages and we welcome any and all hands!

The Land Stewardship Committee has been formed to shepherd the responsible care and maintenance of the land on which our school resides, with a focus on cultivating a mutually beneficial relationship between our community and the land through the support of native flora and fauna, avoidance of pesticides/herbicides, and desire to heal the soil and landscape (among other goals). We'll share more info about the committee and how parents can actively participate and support the responsible stewardship of our community's land.

Alum News

Congratulations to Celia Braun ('21) for being recognized on the Fall Patriot League Academic Honor Roll! Celia is a senior at Boston University and has played as a Goalkeeper on the BU Soccer team for the past four years. This year she served as team captain.

To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20-grade point average (GPA) in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports. The seven sports are men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball.

Have an alum update to share?

We love to hear from our alums and their families! Send us an update.

We also encourage our alums to list their education at WWS on their LinkedIn profile and to follow WWS on LinkedIn. This is a good platform for us to keep up with alum news.

Faculty Appreciation Luncheon

Help celebrate and appreciate our amazing faculty!

WWS families annually honor and appreciate our hard-working, dedicated, and beloved faculty by offering them a delicious luncheon. This year's event is Friday, Feb 28 in the school library.

We need your help in two ways:

  • Food Offerings
  • Sign up to contribute food offerings. Each class has a type of food assigned to it, but they are merely suggestions. If you’d like to contribute a dish that is assigned to a different class, go for it! In either case, please leave a comment saying what you plan to bring.

Thank you in advance for your contributions of food and time -- the faculty treasures this chance to spend time together while sampling the delicious range of cuisines our families offer!
